Tomorrow...I'll be...

25.  That's my "scary age."  You know - the age when you're a kid, you think - man I am really going to be OLD when I turn...(insert "scary age" here).  And - my Dad keeps kindly reminding me..."Hey!  You're 1/2 way to FIFTY!"  Ugh.  Really, Dad?  That hadn't occurred to me.

The weekend is off to a pretty great start, except I was a little...(very) sick on Friday.  Anyway...I work at a company called mint (yes, it's supposed to be lowercase).  In a nut shell, we are an exclusive lifestyle resource for ultra high net worth people and families all over the world.  More than just a luxury concierge, more than just personal assistants - we can do it all (see the website, it's awesome).  Literally, the employees at mint are pretty incredible at what they do.  I love it there.  Anyway, I got tickets from my boss to go to the 25th Breeder's Cup Winner's Circle pre-party at the brand new Palladium Theatre, featuring DJ Joel Madden, and performers Maroon 5.  It was a great night.  I took Eric, and we got one of mint's clients in too - he was so nice!   The event was sponsored by Emirates Airlines and Grey Goose vodka.  We had some beverages, danced a little, and then we were in the (literally) front row to watch Maroon 5.  Um, they're amazing.  AMAZING!  After that, we went home...and I did not feel well at all.  I went to work the next morning, and after 2 1/2 hours I went home.  I had been kinda sick for like a week, and I guess it finally caught up with me.  I slept it off and felt better that evening - so we went to Brett and Chayna's to hang out.  Luckily it was super mellow, so I still felt okay.  I filled Chayna in on some...interesting...drama that had been happening this week since she has been there for me through it all and has been a really good friend, and Eric and Brett played Madden on XBOX.   We left at like 11:30, and went to sleep until like 10:45 am today!  Haha!  All day today we've just been resting, and watching football - and we will watch USC/UofA tonight!  FIGHT ON!  Not sure what Eric has up his sleeve for tomorrow...but I am happy that I get to spend my birthday with him. Okay, I'm out.  It's FOOTBALL time...GO USC! (In case you want to watch...7:15 PST!)
