My Brother...
...is the coolest! We had a great trip with him here at the end of April...only a few days...so we packed in as much Nashville as we could!
Ry arrived, and we took him straight to the Convention Center, so he could register (and whatnot) for the 1/2 marathon...Following this, Eric made us dinner...steak and pasta. After all, we had to carbo load my bro. Then we went to 12th a Porter to see KingBilly, some random bluegrass band, and Sarah Buxton with Richie and BT. Good times. Sara is awesome. This concert was followed by a Sonic run...Gross. Haha.
Saturday...Ry woke up EARLY and ran his booty off at the 1/2 Marathon...Totally B.A.
We rested the rest of the afternoon, watching the NFL draft, etc. Then we went and ate at Cabana (so yum!)...
...and then headed to the Bluebird Cafe to see Dan Huff, Lari White, Chuck Cannon and Marc Beeson. It was suuuuper late, so we went to bed instead of going to the honky tonks.
Sunday, we went to church, then to Barbara's Home Cookin'...where it's safe to say we all gained about 10 million pounds.
We showed him Amy Grant and Vince Gill's home (they have an awesome chipping and putting green), and Alan Jackson's home (where he has a lake for the specific purpose to land his bi plane)...
Then we went to the Nashville Sounds Triple A Baseball game...$1 Sundaes on Sundays...but we were WAY too full.
Then...Ry headed back to the airport. It was a QUICK, albeit wonderful trip! I hope he comes back again soon...we have so much more to show him! AND ALL OF YOU!!! Come visit!
