Ringing in 2009...
i'm sick. it totally stinks...but, i have a wonderful WONDERFUL boyfriend who is taking care of me. cooking, making tea, rubbing my back, drawing me baths, and so much more. and i know for sure i look pretty miserable...but he keeps telling me how pretty i am and all that. i am so lucky. :) (i'd be even luckier if i WASN'T sick...i'm just sayin.)
on another note, i've started nannying an adorable 10 month old girl named layla. my landlord kristin called me one morning out of the blue (because i had offered to babysit if they wanted a night out)...and she was almost in tears. she asked me if i would consider nannying a few days a week because she was so upset at the daycare little layla was at...so i agreed. i've only done two days with the little one, but she's precious. baby's are a lot of work though, i will say that. haha! and, the poor lil' thing has been sick, too...i hope we both get better so we can have lots of fun. it's a temporary job just until they get her into another good daycare - but eric and i could always use a little extra money - plus i really like my landlords and their little girl...pretty cute. :)
eric and i have been going out, meeting more people, hearing great music...it's been great. he's been auditioning, practicing a lot, and has been great with networking - meeting as many people as he can. i'm really proud of him. i'm trying to write, and still keep up the training for the 1/2 marathon. we also are loving staying home and drinking wine and watching movies on our new TV!!! WOOT!
I. LOVE. THIS. TV!!! we got a 46" samsung...and it's. amaaaaazing. we almost got a 52" but it was way too big. seriously.
we're thinking about having either a superbowl party, OR an office party to welcome the TV show back. we are so so so excited about that. also, my awesome parents are coming to visit us at the end of the month. we're going to take them to a bunch of shows and maybe golf. it's going to be so wonderful to see them! they haven't seen the new home yet...so i hope they like it! anyway...that's about it from here. i hope your 2009 is shaping up as well as ours is. :) CHEERS - XOXO
